ICAP has an established presence in Latin America with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico with 440 staff servicing customers across the region. ICAP is continuing to expand in Latin America, both organically and with selected acquisitions.

Brazil

ICAP has been operating in Brazil since the beginning of 2008 and now has an extensive customer base and a state-of-the-art trading floor. Brazil offers an immediate opportunity to build a business in a rapidly developing financial market and ICAP has recently acquired Arkhe, a leading independent broker in Brazil. With offices in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the group has a brokerage staff of more than 170 and offers brokerage services in equities, derivatives and futures at BM&F(agricultural commodities, interest rates, FX options), OTC products, Brazilian government and corporate bonds.

Equities:

ICAP Brazil started its operations as a full broker on 5 April 2009. As a result of the continuous growth of our business with institutional customers in Bovespa, in less than 6 months of operations ICAP Brasil was ranked 25th out of 80 brokerage firms. Our operations desk for Bovespa, presently comprises 25 experienced brokers and is growing steadily. We are prepared to provide our customers with the best in technology, strategies and connectivity. Focusing on electronic trading, we are developing solutions to make a real revolution on the Brazilian Stock Exchange.

Financial Futures:

ICAP Brasil CTVM is one of the top ranked brokerage firms on the BM&FBOVESPA Exchange, one of the four most important exchanges worldwide.

Retail Equities:

MyCAP is a retail online trading website where individual investors can trade directly on Bovespa. MyCAP is not only a trading platform but also a website where our customers can find a range of information and tools to help them make investment decisions. MyCAP was launched in Brazil in May 2009 and now has more than 3,000 accounts ready to trade, and more than 6,000 test drive accounts. After five months of operations in Brazil, MyCAP is now ranked 19th in volume out of 64 brokerage firms that offer retail online trading in Brazil.

Commodities:

ICAP Brazil offers its customers global access to the main exchanges and commodities products around the world. ICAP Brasil covers the full value chain for commodity producers, traders and buyers, from crop financing solutions to complex hedging strategies. Access to the following services and products are available to eligible customers: Listed Derivatives, OTC, Margin Finance, Cash brokerage and structured products for Softs (Sugar, Coffee, Grains, Cattle...), Energy (Ethanol, Oil, Electricity...) and Metals (Precious and Non-Precious), as well as Shipping.

Fixed Income:

The Fixed Income area has 2 main divisions:

Global Bond Desk – ICAP, the world’s biggest interdealer broker, has broad experience in trading emerging market bonds, sovereign and corporate bonds. ICAP has its own electronic trading system that offers a hybrid trading model for its customers, aggregating liquidity, transparency and efficiency to the market.

Internal Debt Desk – ICAP has acquired Arkhe, a leading independent broker with wide experience in the Brazilian market that provides liquidity in the transactions of public and private securities for its customers. ICAP acts as an interdealer with a large OTC liquidity pool. This area offers facilities for the customers that execute fixed income arbitrages on the BMF. We are also a specialist in private bonds, settling their trades in the CETIP environment. ICAP is soon going to launch a real-time trading platform for public and private bonds in the Brazilian marketplace, bringing its sophisticated platforms to Brazil.
